W. A. "Trax" Traxler1921 - 1993 W. A. received his laboratory training during World War II while serving with the Navy/Marines. He attended Lee Junior College and Lamar University. He was certified with AMT and American Registry of Clinical Radiography Technologists. "Trax" served on the AMT Board from 1957 - 1960. He was a District Councilor. He received the Distinguished Achievement Award in 1954 and the Exceptional Merit Award in 1955 and was honored in 1960 with the Order of the Golden Microscope. "Trax" personified "The Pride of the Profession". He was responsible for encouraging his sister and her husband, Lillie and Billy McClusky, his brother, Lonnie, and Vernell Boyd to attend Commonwealth College
