John & Martha Drasal
John received his medical technology training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and graduated in 1936. For 39 years, John was Chief of Medical Technology and X-Ray at the Exxon Refinery in Baytown, Texas until his retirement in the 1980's.
John was an enthusiastic supporter of AMT and received the Distinguished Achievement Award in 1965 and the Exceptional Merit Award in 1966. In 1974 he received the Order of the Golden Microscope, the highest honor.
John served for ten years as the TxSSAMT Treasurer and business manager. His calm approach to any event is sorely missed. John's wife Martha frequently joined John at AMT meetings and activities.
